Romney’s support for coal and heavy industry focuses on this idea of US energy independence, but by definition this can only be a short term goal without greater attention being paid to alternative energy sources. Remember coal is finite, and as an industry is heavily unionized – do we really want to hand Am#i2ca&e8r17;s vital energy needs to the control of the unions?
